I graduated from a Tier 2 Law School in 2007 and have an LLM. I have 2 years experience as an attorney and I like the profession and want to stay in it. However, I do not have an accounting background and I am thinking of getting a CPA to become more marketable. The hesitation is that it would require me to go back to get a B.A. in accounting, and then work as an accountant for two years while I take accounting-level graduate courses until I was eligible to sit for the CPA Examination. Once I got the designation, I would return to the law. Is that too much effort for the reward?
